POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating molding operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth production flow, adherence to safety and quality standards, and achievement of production goals. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills who can optimize processes and inspire a team to drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, injection molding, or related production environments and will be committed to efficiency, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and supervise production employees, including machine operators, process technicians, and mold changers.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
- Monitor production data, making adjustments to optimize quality and minimize scrap.
- Track downtime, defects, and rejects using the PlantStar system for process improvements.
- Conduct shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety updates.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and proper PPE usage.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Report personnel, equipment, or production issues to management.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support company initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in injection molding or similar production settings preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
