This Role
Our Finance team is currently seeking an Accountant I. This will be a hybrid role residing within a commutable distance to our Grand Rapids, Michigan office.
What You Will Do
As an Accountant I you will be responsible for performing entry-level accounting tasks in support of financial operations. This position involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The Accountant I will work under the supervision of senior accountants or financial managers to assist with day-to-day accounting functions.
How You Will Do It
This is a hybrid that would require occasional trips to collaborate with the team at our Kentwood, MI office space.

This Role

How You Will Do It
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and reports.
- Assist with general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
- Support internal audits and financial reviews as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accounting software.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Respond to inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and analyses.
- Other Duties as Necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Two years of accounting experience preferred, can include internships or other entry level experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
