Position Summary
Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments of materials, finished goods, and supplies. The coordinator verifies and records incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, and receives and unpacks incoming materials and supplies. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will be a self sufficient with general supervision.
Principal Activities
· Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies.
· Verify accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders and invoices.
· Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations.
· Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-up and delivery of shipments.
· Ensure proper handing and storage of incoming and outgoing shipments.
· Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages to appropriate parties.
· Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
· Coordinate with internal departments regarding shipping and receiving issues.
· Operate forklifts, packaging equipment, and pallet jacks as needed.
· Maintain a clean and organized environment.
Key Accountabilities
· Receive all incoming shipments by end of day.
· Follow specific shipping specifications per order.
· Follow shipping and receiving procedures and standards.
· Transfer material between manufacturing plants.
Candidate Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Minium of 1 year experience in Manufacturing Shipping and Receiving.
· Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
· Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and regulations.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to lift heavy objects.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Basic computer skills, including shipment tracking software’s, and ERP systems.
· Commitment to safety in the workplace.
· Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
