What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Dutch Valley Food Distributors Inc?
This is a Full Time Position (M-F) Starting rate of $18.50 per hour.
JOB SUMMARY
Process and fulfill orders, ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process orders (via phone, fax, mail and email)
- Provide customers with product information
- Sales by phone (cross-sell, up-sell, new products)
- Directly assist customers with positive resolution
- Assess customers needs and provide solutions and alternatives to achieve customer satisfaction
- Follow Customer Service Department procedures, guidelines and policies
- Perform additional tasks as needed and assigned
- Flexible with work schedule
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior customer service experience required
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Computer, keyboard, 10-key and data entry skills
- Possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal (on the phone, with other departments and with other team members)
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must possess a positive attitude and have a commitment to serve
- Must be a Team Player
