Fish Farm Hand

We have a rare open position for a fish farmer position at our grace, ID location. This is a full time position with employee health insurance, company provided housing, paid vacation and company sponsored retirement. This position will train the applicant to work independently at all farm labor tasks as well as develop key farm management skills. Applicant will also do occasional truck driving to pick up fish feed and transport fish between farms. Having a valid CDL A license is a bonus.

The applicant will be trained in all aspects of raising fish on our geothermal farms, from spawning to feeding to harvesting. Training will also include building specialized equipment, light and heavy construction and equipment operation. The applicant will be trained in fish husbandry skills such as production planning, genetics, disease control, record keeping and others.

The applicant will start work along side experienced, skilled employees and work more and more independently as he/she demonstrates trustworthiness and mastery of various skills. At the end of the training period the applicant will be responsible for the day to day farm operations without supervision.
