Production Operator Job
Job Summary:
This is a production operator position that involves manufacturing custom chemicals for various industries, including fertilizer, mining, and road construction. The job requires working in a chemical facility with outdoor exposure to the elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading products from storage tanks, trailers, containers, railcars, totes, and drums.
- Transferring materials using liquid and solid transfer systems, blending materials in tanks, and verifying chemical formula ratios and material volumes.
- Troubleshooting equipment and processes, completing paperwork, and documenting material transfers.
- Climbing ladders to secure dome lids on tank trailers and containers, performing quality testing, and entering data into ERP systems.
- Performing facility upkeep, including lawn maintenance and snow removal, and operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
Working Environment:
The production operator will work in a large chemical facility with frequent walking and outdoor exposure to the elements. They must be comfortable with routine exposure to the elements and able to perform tasks while standing for long periods.
