This is an in person position in Gap, PA
Summary:
Production Scheduler / Materials Planner plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. Responsible for the technical aspects of scheduling materials, forms, and manpower for a production operation. Duties include preparation of daily and weekly schedules in with overall master schedule. Communicate regularly with purchasing, Project Management, and production staff to adjust schedules to accommodate changes in material availability, form availability, or staffing. Also, responsible for collecting, managing, posting, and distributing all KPIs and performance data in production.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine production requirements
- Create and manage sales orders and production requirements based on the project requirements
- Coordinate with Production Managers to develop and execute production plan.
- Analyze sales order releases with respect to form and manpower capacity planning and material requirements.
- Plan and manage material replenishment to ensure 100% on‐time delivery of customer orders
- Plan out Lead Times and Work Orders for sub‐assemblies built internally
- Maintain adequate levels of stocked and controlled components to meet anticipated production demand, adjusting order review points to minimize shortages or overages
- Work with production managers to plan and coordinate production schedules
- Review production drawings and identify and report plant capacity constraints
- Monitor and document workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Evaluate stock adequate materials to avoid any shortages
- Responsible for the collection, management, and distribution of all Production KPI and performance data as part of the production data management system
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required but a degree is preferred
- Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office package and strong competency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience in the field of material planning and production scheduling
- Precast Concrete experience is preferred
- Ability to understand engineering documents including Fabrication Drawings and Bill of Materials
- Demonstrated organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- High level of energy with an inherent drive to embrace challenges and continuous improvement
- Ability to prioritize workload and to handle multiple tasks at one time
