Job Description

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

SALARY RANGE: 130K TO 140K Per Annum

Lead the migration efforts of current legacy system to new modernized cloud-based SaaS solutions. This includes comprehensive planning, data assessment, extraction, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system. The worker will primarily work on developing scripts to extract data out of legacy systems such as Oracle Cerner’s Millennium database.

Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and debugging issues. Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution. (20%)

Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders including immediate managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts. Use ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution. Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to both internal and external audiences to explain the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges (10%)

Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration. This includes training end-users, preparing comprehensive system documentation, and recommending strategies for optimizing system performance based on feedback and performance metrics. (5%)

Ensures that design complies with standards. This task also involves setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration. (5%)

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

8 years of experience in database management systems, workflows, and data migration with a focus on healthcare EHR systems.

8 years of experience in Oracle Cerner Millennium database and Cerner Command Language (CCL) for data extraction and migration to SaaS platforms.

8 years of business analysis experience, identifying automation opportunities and enhancing system functionality.

8 years of experience in EHR application domain, including workflow analysis, development, and programming.

8 years of process flow documentation, conducting data collection and SME meetings for workflow improvements.

8 years of experience in data input/output process specification and resolving complex data-related issues.

8 years of strong oral and written communication skills, ensuring clear documentation and stakeholder engagement.

8 years of IT industry knowledge, applying trends and insights strategically.

8 years of experience in architectural principles and tools for infrastructure and application design.

8 years of problem-solving and analytical skills for data-related challenges.

8 years of leadership experience, driving high team productivity and collaboration.

Preferred:

2 years of experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework, document templates, and Agile Scrum Methodology.

2 years of experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.

2 years of experience with global, regional, and local software architecture components.

2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.

2 years of familiarity with information architecture and management methodologies.
