Summary:
This Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer position will plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable and secure operations of the organization's IT assets. This role includes developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing key functional areas that includes network infrastructure, server infrastructure, voice/data communications and end user computing assets. Additionally, this position will manage the end user experience and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the corporate technology architecture, processes and procedures to support the business needs of the company.
Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure systems meet existing and future requirements.
Promote technology efforts to identify opportunities to improve productivity across the company, lower cost, and a continuously improving "end-user" experience.
Manage all communications around upgrades, new technologies and new processes that impact the customer or team member experience.
Expansion and increased utilization of current Microsoft Office 365 infrastructure including One Drive and SharePoint.
Ensure a high quality, high availability computing and telephony environment including data and system backup and restore functions. Responsible for all IT disaster recovery planning and testing for IT solutions and services as well as buildouts for new or relocating facilities
Maintain network, server and end user computing life cycle asset management.
Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services
Prepare RFP's, bid proposals, scope of work and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts.
Assess, approve and administer all equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls and anti-virus solutions.
Exceptional planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate (listen and speak) with various business functions to support the information needs
Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, negotiating, presentation and organizational skills required.
Monitors customer service and maintains infrastructure stability, collects and maintains network/server performance and utilization and maintains systems to current versions.
Manage the IT budget for hardware, software licensing and communications vendors.
Minimum Requirements:
5 to 7 years of increased responsibility in leading IT functions is required.
3 to 5 years of experience managing and configuring enterprise networks utilizing MPLS and SD-WAN services.
Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards including Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, Core Switching/Routing, SAN, Virtualization and Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery.
Demonstrated ability to engage with business leaders, all levels of team members, vendors, customers understanding their needs from the business perspective and being able to translate those into actionable projects within IT
A superior customer service attitude, including the ability to work with users of all skill levels and organizational levels.
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to comprehend and apply new concepts quickly and effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft OS/Applications:
o Windows Server 2008 and higher.
o Windows 7 and higher
o Remote Desktop Services
o Office 365 products including SharePoint, One Drive and Teams.
o PowerShell commands and scripting
Experience with VMWare 5.5 and higher
Experience with Cisco UCS and Pure SAN
Experience with Meraki switching
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP applications.
