What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Counsel position at Duvera Consulting LLC?
Duvera's client, a publicly traded Fortune 50 international energy conglomerate is in search of a Counsel, Commercial Trading and Transactions that will report to the Managing Counsel, Commercial & Marketing and work with colleagues in a large law department in Houston.
Responsibilities May Include :
Advising on Lubricants transactions
Advising on corporate guarantees in support of Commercial trading
Advising on a wide range of Commercial trading, storage and transportation agreements
Opportunities to assist on M&A transactions
Instructing and managing outside counsel and specialists to get appropriate, cost-effective advice
Required Qualifications :
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
J.D. degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association
A member in good standing of any U.S. bar
5 or more years of commercial law experience in a top law firm or as in-house counsel at a company of similar size and scale
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience advising on common contractual terms in the trading of energy commodities
Knowledge and experience advising on storage and transportation agreements
Experience advising on trade finance documents, particularly guarantees and letters of credit
Superior negotiation, advocacy and presentation skills
