What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at DVA Consulting?
We are looking for a Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for repairing service trucks, manlifts, forklifts, and large generators. Light vehicle repair can be required occasionally. This is a full-time fully benefited position. We offer weekly pay, paid Holidays, PTO accrual, referral pay and paid time off during the winter break period. Compensation is DOE.
JOB PURPOSE:
Perform diagnostics and repair of light vehicles, forklifts, man lifts, and generators.
JOB DUTIES:
Apply mechanical skills to perform diagnostics and repair of light vehicles, forklifts, man lifts, and small engines.
Apply mechanical knowledge to perform repairs on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools.
Utilize computer-based software to track work completed, parts used, and upcoming work.
Make safety and health a priority during all work (and home) activities. Engage in Caterpillar's culture of safety and participate in efforts and activities to continuously improve the safety of operations.
Provide input to supervisor and team for continuous improvement (CI) and capital projects to improve safety, quality, velocity, and cost. Aid supervisor in the implementation of other employee’s CI ideas.
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Experience as a mechanic in vehicle or small engine maintenance. Knowledge of safe use of tools required for vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with forklift or man lift maintenance a plus but not required.
Clean MVR required to operate light vehicles.
Salary : $20 - $24
