D.V.M. operates as a prime contractor performing underground and aerial utility construction. We specialize in installing Telecommunications Cable/Conduit, Water Main and Sanitary Sewer by trenchless methods as well as open cut installation. We have been engaged in trenchless construction since the company’s inception in 1981. Since we perform all trenchless methods, we are able to provide our customers a Total Trenchless design build solution.
Construction Operators and Laborers, Directional Drill Operators. We are looking to add experienced Directional Drill Operators to our team! Pay depends on experience and skill set.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Horizontal Directional Drill
- Assist in potholing and remediation
- Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie ins
- Drive equipment to job site
- Confirms with locator/lead the bore path to drill
- Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine
- Drill out following the predetermined drill path to the exit pit
- Communicate with the locator/lead via radio to confirm the location of the drill head
- Assist with the install of proper pulling gear and hook up product
- Reverse process to install product
- Oversee laborers and/or crew member’s work and monitor time usage
- Clean, check fluid levels and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required paperwork, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment.
- Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required paperwork (i.e., Bore log, vehicle maintenance reports, etc.)
- Follows specifications for the job and company policies
- Complies with safety procedures while driving and at job site
- Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work
- Class A CDL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
