Job Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented engineering student looking to make a real impact? We're seeking a talented engineering intern to join our team and play a crucial role in organizing and optimizing our vast AutoCAD drawing library. Under the Switchgear Engineer’s supervision, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn the fundamentals on how our custom products are manufactured here at DVM. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. DVM retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.
- Organize AutoCAD drawings used by manufacturing/production teams in the creation of products in the DVM Engineering library
- Logging parts and materials designated for product build.
- Understands and interprets schematics and drawings to determine part measurements.
- Assist in developing processes to improve quality and efficiency of the documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program at a 4-year college. Preferably has a focus in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with 3D design is a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and related software.
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.
Physical Requirements:
- The work environment is a typical office environment, with quiet to moderate noise level, and traditional lighting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively using phones or computer software.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
- Must be able to travel between DVM locations as needed.
