Job Summary:
Taking direction from Managers and Team Leads, the Production Technician will construct and wire low and medium voltage electrical equipment to meet client and product specifications. They are expected to learn and read electrical schematics. An electrical background or wiring experience is a plus.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. DVM retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.
- Assemble and wire equipment to meet client and product specifications.
- Use hand and power tools as required.
- Read and understand electrical schematics.
General Expectations of the position:

- Accept constructive criticism.
- Be on time at the start of the day and on time returning from breaks and work until the end of the day.
- Give adequate notice for personal time off (PTO)

Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent OR relevant experience
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred certifications (OSHA10, CPR)
Physical Requirements:
- Safety glasses and equipment for daily use. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn, and this can be obtained from the DVM Fastenal cabinet.
- Hand protection, either cut resistant gloves or Leather work gloves as appropriate.
- Hearing protection when required. Earmuffs assigned by safety office for fabrication area.
- Steel or Composite toe boots or shoes for daily use will be purchased by the Technician. Reimbursement may be requested for one pair once a year.
- Physical exertion may vary depending on position type. May be required to regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, frequently stand or walk around the work area, and lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Assembling may involve manipulating small parts and using hand tools. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential for this job. Comfortable with occasional repetitive motions.
- Must be able to follow instructions and stay alert to potential hazards on the shop floor.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
- Manufacturing facilities can be loud and have bright lights. Subjective to seasonal weather conditions (hot in summer and cold in winter months).
