Job Summary:
The Production Testing Technician-Team lead is a key member of our Production Testing team, working in one of our Pennsylvania manufacturing facilities. This role oversees the members of the Production Testing Team, providing training and mentorship to new team members as needed. The Team Lead will ensure that the inspection of all products meets required engineering and quality standards and the testing process is supported by accurate documentation and record-keeping. The Lead will ensure all testing work performed is to the highest standards of production and safety regulations.

Location: West Chester Facility in West Chester, PA
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

- Mechanical and electrical inspection of all products to meet engineering and quality standards and specifications.
- Testing of low and medium voltage products including electrical Switchgear, Switchboards, Panelboards, Breaker’s and MCC’s.
- Complete and submit technical test reports upon completion of test activities.
- Creation and maintenance of testing documents, SOP’s and checklists.
- Close collaboration with Engineering to identify and resolve issues with electrical drawings.
- Follow and continually evaluate Internal Testing Procedures (ITP) for improvements and perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Maintain the Repair/Calibration database.
- Perform job entries & maintenance of records on database including associated paperwork and time tracking.
- Prepare detailed service and failure records.
- Ensure adherence to project deadlines, with a strong focus on customers, both internal and external.
- Maintain a well-organized clean work area and comply with OSHA requirements.
- Review and mark-up documentation for as-built conditions for Engineering, conforming to quality standards.
- Validate and/or correct existing technical documents, to include test procedures.
- Provide required training and mentorship to members of the production testing team.
- Effectively manage teams in diverse settings.
- Perform any other project work as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Sound theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience on electrical testing including ability to use High Pot test Set, Current Injector, Megger insulation resistance meter, Multi Meter, Relay Test Set, Corona Test Set.
- Capable of managing technical tasks with minimal supervision, technical information, and documentation.
- Possess strong analytical skills and ability to interpret schematics.
- Proficiency in computer applications needed in the routine execution of responsibilities (eg. MS Office and other applications).
- Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and oral) to accurately convey technical findings/issues/topics to all stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively train personnel, oversee teams and perform as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills – to include time management and recordkeeping.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in testing, troubleshooting & failure analysis of electrical equipment
- Technical college education or equivalent formal training in Electrical Engineering Technologies,
- Possess CET/CTech or Electrician’s/ Journeyman designation/license.
- Prior experience with low and medium voltage equipment
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).
Physical Requirements:
- The work environment is a typical office environment, with quiet to moderate noise level, and traditional lighting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively using phones or computer software.
- Physical exertion may vary depending on position type. Must be required to regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25lbs.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
- Availability to travel, as needed, between DVM manufacturing facilities (Stone Mountain, North Wales & West Chester). Some travel will require overnight stays. Travel between West Chester and North Wales of potentially 30-40%.
