Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be accountable for planning, executing, and closing projects within specified deadlines and budget constraints. The Project Manager will confirm and communicate clients' requirements and lead efforts to resolve issues to ensure that project goals are successfully completed.
Job Status (FLSA): Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Stone Mountain, GA. Other locations as assigned.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. DVM retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.
- Planning: Develop detailed project plans outlining the required scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients' orders.
- Communication: Facilitate clear initiative-taking communications with clients and internal stakeholders in Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing Departments.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively manage and resolve issues during the project.
- Timeline Management: Monitor project timelines and milestones, adjusting as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints and invoices are processed as milestones are achieved.
- Change Management: Handle changes to project scope, schedule, and costs. Assess the impact of changes and communicate effectively with relevant parties.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of project milestones, decisions, and changes. Prepare reports as needed for clients, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Project Closeout: Lead project closeout by ensuring financial reconciliation, final invoicing, submission of As Built drawings, and OEM Manuals, and coordinate with Field Service on start-up and commissioning requirements and scheduling. - Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, including fluency in Office, Teams, Excel, and Word. Experience with Microsoft Projects and Procore is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a history of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Electrical trade or engineering experience preferred.
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.
Physical Requirements:
- The work environment is a typical office environment, with quiet to moderate noise level, and traditional lighting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively using phones or computer software.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
- Must be able to travel between DVM locations as needed, some travel could require overnight stays.
