Overview
We are seeking a LONG ISLAND BASED passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ballet/Technique and experience working with children of all ages. This role involves working with our competition students. Fostering a love for movement, and promoting creativity among young learners. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in developing students' skills Ballet and Technique foundation as well as ensuring a fun and supportive environment.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to the age and skill level of students.
- Teach Ballet and Technique as appropriate with age and level.
- Create a positive learning atmosphere that encourages self-expression and creativity.
- Implement behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful and productive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Collaborate with other instructors to organize performances and events that showcase student talent.
- Foster relationships with students and parents to support their dance journey.
- Stay updated on current trends in dance education and childhood development.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dance Instructor or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong background in various dance styles, particularly Ballet.
- Experience working with children of all ages.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Ability to create lesson plans that incorporate elements of fun while focusing on skill development.
- A passion for teaching dance and nurturing young talent is crucial.
