Reports to: Internal Operations Manager

Summary

DWS Energy is a rapidly expanding multi-disciplinary construction and engineering company providing a variety of services and products to our clients. The Purchasing /Procurement position contributes to the success of DWS by ensuring that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.

As Purchasing, you will be responsible for maintaining positive supplier relationships, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors
• Track inventory and restock goods when needed
• Stay up to date on industry trends and new products
• Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing

Skills and Qualifications

• Over 4 years’ experience in supply chain management or similar field.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn and grow within existing software.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Supervisory and management experience.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience working with vendors, suppliers or procurement professionals
• Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization

Physical Requirements:

·         Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·         Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

·         Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs.

·         May require travel.
