Key Responsibilities
- Determine order specifications, including reference to prints and engineering instructions.
- Identify material requirements and ensure availability or secure missing items from the warehouse.
- Braze or solder bellows, bourdon tubes, thermal system/capillary assembly, thermowells, and work with the welding department as needed.
- Fabricate thermal systems, fill them with highly volatile materials in an explosion-proof workstation, and test for leaks.
- Assemble seals, control units, and subassemblies, glands, diaphragms, filling materials, and complete assembly, calibration, and testing of units as specified.
- Segregate defective parts for supervisor or leader action.
This role also involves record-keeping, cleaning up work areas, and following safety procedures for various fluids, materials, and equipment.
