Job Overview:
The Assembly III is responsible for performing various assembly and calibration tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions or samples within three to six months to attain proficiency on a variety of final assembly assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements: Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, ability to reach above shoulders, ability to walk back and forward through-out facility, ability to control operation of hand or foot, ability to lift/carry up to 10 pounds, ability to use keyboard, sporadic 10 key, ability to use mouse (or alternative input device), ability to push/pull, ability to turn wrist frequently in repetitive motion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive information as to routine types and models from Supervisor or Leader together with instructions if unfamiliar with specifics; check parts supplied by storeroom; secure missing or short count items, if any.
- Arrange parts for ease of assembly on the workbench.
- Recognize and understand differences in product configuration.
- Perform assembly procedures to complete the unit and calibrate involving some or all of the following as may be required for the unit type and model assigned: Assembling a variety of sub-assemblies and parts with screws, nuts, clips, washers, springs, and other fasteners using appropriate hand tools or pneumatic/electric tools.
- Adjust assembly as necessary to ensure final product function or appearance.
- Attending and feeding simple machines.
- Perform leak check and Hypot processes.
- Performing other simpler assembly tasks that may be necessary to complete the unit or maintain departmental efficiency.
- Final packaging and labeling. Identify proper approval agency labeling.
- Segregate defective parts for Supervisor or Leader action.
- Record information for specific controls or generally for work assigned and completed.
- Clean up the immediate work area and follow prescribed procedures in handling of all components to minimize breakage or moisture or perspiration damage.
