Dwyer Workforce Development’s (DWD) mission is to provide comprehensive support to individuals who lack opportunity and aspire to pursue a career in the healthcare industry, alleviate a severe healthcare workforce shortage, and improve the lives of seniors.
Position Summary
The Director of Career Services will be responsible for the full scope of DWD’s career services program, including providing direction in creating, delivering, and evaluating this work. Provide guidance to all team members, volunteers and partners engaged in conversations and activities related to Scholar upskilling, and support upskilling partner relationships, data collection and related administrative tasks to support DWD’s mission. She/he will have the ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, independently with minimal direction while escalating urgent issues appropriately. An understanding of this role as it relates to DWD’s mission and the Scholar journey, ensuring that their goals and their needs are at the center of all upskilling discussions and interactions as well as engage with partners, funders, and the communities in which DWD operates, as needed. Our ideal candidate will have educational program management and service delivery experience, and possess an entrepreneurial attitude, demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and work effectively with a diverse group of individuals/teams within the organization. Experience in healthcare in preferred but not required. She/he/they will be resourceful and work proactively and creatively in finding solutions and achieving goals in the face of unexpected challenges.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive career services program plan to support DWD’s short and longrange goals and objectives, including creating and recommending policies, and procedures to ensure effectiveness and accountability.
- Engage directly with Scholars to assist them in making informed decisions about their career path journey and upskilling opportunities.
- Provide oneonone support for Scholars as they prepare for and engage in upskilling programs.
- Develop and implement career development programs and workshops, including a specific focus on GED attainment and stackable credentials.
- Guide all team members, volunteers and partners engaged in conversations, supports and activities related to Scholar upskilling.
- Collaborate with colleagues to find, vet, develop and cultivate career services/upskilling partners that offer programs and certifications in line with certified nursing Assistants (CNAs) career path opportunities in healthcare.
- Maintain current knowledge of labor market trends, occupational, career and educational information related to senior care specifically and healthcare overall.
- Contribute to the development of data management, collection, reporting and program evaluation capacities for the career services program offerings.
- Represent and/or present on behalf of DWD at Scholar events, community activities, conferences as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of local educational and community resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in related area of study.
- 4 years’ experience working in career services, career development, human resources or related roles and fields of study.
- Experience creating, augmenting, growing a career advancement program highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player who productively engages with others both internally and externally.
- A mature, professional, and resourceful style with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM.
- High level of cultural competency demonstrated by the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as motivational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and evenings, when necessary.

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
