A deep understanding of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Statements of Work (SOWs) is essential for effectively identifying supplier requirements and aligning procurement strategies with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary SCM point of contact for a variety of deals, ranging from rapid, tactical supplier engagements to complex, multi-supplier, long-term partnerships
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with sales, presales, and offering solution teams within assigned portfolios, attend regular meetings and proactively engage with stakeholders
- Collaborate with pursuit teams to address SCM assigned requests to ensure efficient and effective teamwork
- Identify and recommend third-party suppliers capable of fulfilling RFI, RFP, and proposed solution requirements
- Work with SCM Category Management Teams to negotiate supplier pricing, driving cost reductions to achieve a competitive “price to win” and enhance DXC revenue and profitability
- Plan and coordinate the procurement materials, products/services, and equipment for assigned deals, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Support both short-term, high-speed procurement needs and long-term, strategic supplier negotiations to maximize value
- Ensure supplier compliance with global supply chain strategies and assist in onboarding new suppliers
- Align third-party agreements with DXC/Client contracts to meet client expectations, avoid penalties, and manage shared liability
- Partner with DXC Contract Services and Legal to facilitate NDAs, contract novation’s, flow-downs/ups, and other strategic agreements that create a competitive advantage
- Support sales governance deal reviews by ensuring supplier compliance, mitigating supplier risk, and securing optimal pricing and payment terms
- Ensure supplier compliance with DXC's global supply chain policies and assist in resolving contractual discrepancies
- Adapt procurement strategies to support a wide range of deal structures, from quick-turnaround tactical engagements to multi-year, multi-supplier agreements
- Effectively manage multiple supplier engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
- Utilize project management skills to coordinate procurement efforts, track progress, and maintain organized documentation
- Prepare and present procurement insights, cost analysis, and supplier recommendations using MS Excel and PowerPoint to support sales governance reviews
- Provide supply chain expertise and governance support for high-value, multi-supplier deals requiring extensive negotiation, cost modeling, and risk assessment
- Follow SCM processes for assigned deals, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality procurement outcomes
- Leverage expertise from global and regional supply chain category teams for technology, labor, and other procurement needs
- Maintain detailed records and reports to track supplier engagement, deal progress, and cost savings
- Plan and oversee third-party transition and transformation, including contract novation, flow-down negotiation, and identification of flow-ups
- Lead supplier turnover processes to ensure smooth handover to account teams and operational supply chain teams
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically, 6 years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role in procurement and supply chain
- Proven experience in supply chain management
- Proficiencies in vendor management, cost control, and procurement strategies
- A continuous learner who stays abreast of industry knowledge and technology trends
- Strong understanding of RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs, with the ability to interpret supplier requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, cost modeling using pre-defined templates) and PowerPoint (presentations, reports) to support sales governance reviews
- Ability to work with category management to negotiate concessions to drive cost savings and optimize deal structures
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in procurement processes, contract negotiations, and supplier agreements
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple procurement initiatives, manage timelines, and meet deadlines
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain clear documentation of procurement activities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of working across global teams
