Dxome CLIA Laboratory is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our clinical team.
We are CLIA and CAP-certified laboratory that strives to improve patient care through our innovative technology. At Dxome, we manufacture screening panels and detection kits for different types of cancers. By utilizing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Real-Time PCR, Dxome aims to enable early treatment which leads to higher survival rates for cancer patients.
Dxome is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS). The CLS will be responsible for specimen processing, test performance, reporting test results, and additional projects as assigned.

Job Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform general laboratory duties by working alongside with the supervisor in completing tasks according to the lab's standard operating procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for specimen processing, test performance and for reporting test results.
- Perform routine qualitative and quantitative analysis of various clinical specimens.
- Maintain records of laboratory results, quality control date, and laboratory procedures.
- Perform reagents qualification and instrument maintenance.
- Collect data as required by the SOP.
- Perform assay validation and verification.
- Being able to identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or test result reporting and correcting the problem or notifying the appropriate supervisor.
- Documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
- Perform laboratory procedures for genetic testing, including DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, and data analysis
- Participate in laboratory meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities to maintain up-to-date knowledge of genetic testing technologies and practices
- Assist with CLIA/CAP inspection by preparing necessary documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
Experience & Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biological or laboratory sciences, preferred.
- Clinical Lab Scientist issued by the State of California. (CLS or CGMBS)
- Previous experience in clinical laboratory or related work environment preferred.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Having NGS/Library preparation experience is a plus.
- Experience with handling Illumina sequencing analyzer is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for laboratory operations is a plus.(e.g. CLIA, CAP).
- Ability to work as part of a team, capable of working under deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, reliable.
- Good personal and outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle biological materials.
- Familiarity with CLIA and CAP regulatory requirements.
- Conduct activities in compliance with CLIA and other regulatory guidelines.
