Responsibilities of the Desktop Engineer include, but are not limited to :
- This position will be primarily focused on endpoint systems architecture and design regarding modern management of Windows 10 from operating system deployment to configuration and enforcement of policy through SCCM, Workspace One or Intune.
- Lead the Workplace transformation by defining and managing our technical landscape, technology strategy, and architecture for the End User Compute (EUC) environment.
- delivery of desktop management best practices, developing and delivering agile methodologies for windows desktop and device management, and overall software distribution and support
- Engage with End-users, other members of the IT team, IT Business Partners, and key Business Stakeholders to develop solution architecture and drive changes in workplace technology platforms that best fits the company needs and culture.
- Design and build strategic roadmap for technology lifecycle and standards.
- Build, test, and deploy desktop and laptop image profiles, and continually evaluate and advance deployment methodologies to maximize efficiency.
- Optimize disparate processes among Desktop Management, Mobile Management, and Virtual Desktops to streamline a single Unified Endpoint Management Program
