What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP XL Dispatcher position at DXS Logistics LLC?
DXS Logistics LLC is an Amazon DSP looking for enthusiastic, team players to deliver larger-than-life smiles across our community. XL Delivery Drivers operate DOT-regulated vehicles and work alongside a Driver Helper to deliver packages up to 300 lbs. We are looking for dedicated individuals who value safety, are committed to exceptional customer service, and can manage the physical demands of handling large items while adhering to delivery schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily dispatch schedules for drivers, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with route and service commitments.
- Utilize Amazon routing and other logistical tools and resources to optimize delivery routes and respond to real-time changes in route execution.
- Monitor driver progress throughout the day and provide assistance with navigation, traffic updates, and unexpected challenges.
- Act as the first point of contact to DA’s and AMZL personnel to facilitate effective communication between drivers, management, and Amazon representatives for updates on deliveries, including potential delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch-related activities, such as driver logs, route details, incident reports, and customer feedback.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
- Proactively identify and address any service discrepancies or operational challenges.
- Develop contingency plans to handle emergencies or unplanned events impacting deliveries.
- Support a positive work environment, providing drivers with the information and resources necessary to succeed.
- Ensure that all drivers complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily reports
- Regularly provide feedback to DXSL leadership regarding drivers’ productivity, work performance and compliance
- Coaching and development for new drivers to ensure the proper use of delivery equipment and techniques, adherence to safety guidelines and performance expectations
- Monitor progress of all team members route status and coordinate assists as needed
- Attend regularly scheduled leadership meetings
- Identify and communicate recommendations for process improvement

- Pay starting at $22/hr or higher depending on experience

What you'll need:
- Missouri residents class E license
- Illinois residents class C license
- Previous DSP dispatching experience preferred
- Familiarity with commercial driving and DOT regulations and procedures
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and provide exceptional service
- Navigation Skills: Familiarity with GPS and navigation apps to efficiently navigate routes.
- Smartphone Savvy: Utilize our delivery app & our phones to receive instructions, update delivery statuses, and communicate with customers.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading of product.
