Responsibilities:
- Design parts, assemblies, systems, and machines in Solidworks 3D
- Create/modify machine/system layouts in AutoCAD
- Conduct shop floor testing and analyze results to check system readiness
- Support the manufacturing team
- Support the assembly personnel
- Support the installation/service team
- Participate in conceptual design/review
- Oversee project from design start to final installation
- Create and read prints/ layouts
- Create manual/ training material for each project
- Assist sales in quoting
- Assist marketing team with demonstrations
- Assess customer facility before beginning each design
- Assess and reduce risk through design
- Document bill of materials list
- Generate spare parts list for each project
- Update existing designs as modified
- Stay up to date on robot training
- Assess finished product and determine if it is ready for customer
- Document job completion
- Others assigned by manager as necessary
Requirements:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- 3D software knowledge; Solidworks preferred
- ERP/MRP system knowledge preferred
- Ability to problem solve
- Project management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- 5-20% traveling
Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering preferred
