Applications Analyst | Reading, PA
The Applications Analyst provides technical oversight and functional knowledge/support of our higher education client’s ERP systems. The Applications Analyst’s responsibilities problem resolution, software modifications, business process reviews, and in-depth technical and data integration implementation to/from ancillary systems. The Applications Analyst will work with end users to identify and resolve problems, inefficiencies, and will create and implement solutions and best practices for business processes. The Applications Analyst will ensure continuous and quality services that include business process review and re-engineering, data conversion and upgrades, end-user optimization, custom application development and report writing using Power Campus specific tools, project management and report writing. The Applications Analyst will ensure that data and process operations are performed in the most effective and efficient manner. Any, and all, changes or modifications to the application systems are fully documented and thoroughly tested and approved by IT leadership before going into production. The selected candidate will be a key team contributor of the Dynamic Campus team.
Hours of operation are 8:00 am -5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Hours may vary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consults with supervisor, other systems programmers/analysts, and customers to plan software implementation projects. This includes the assessment of business processes, development of project charters and plans.
- Support integrations with Power Campus.
- Support departmental staff and administration with the identification, evaluation, selection, support and maintenance of systems solutions
- Creation of software implementation test plans and assisting users with the execution of test plans as necessary
- Creation of technical software implementation documentation
- Provide technical assistance as necessary to functional administrative departments in support of the Power Campus implementation and ongoing use
- Develop and maintain custom solutions utilizing software development tools based on the Power Campus environment
- Develop and maintain custom reports or queries using Power Campus or other reporting tools
- Perform analysis of Power Campus software updates to inform customers in functional business areas concerning business process modifications
- Develop and implement data integrations between Power Campus and various ancillary systems
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with the Power Campus ERP system is required
- Experience working with customers to solve problems, provide guidance and enhance their ability to use functional modules in Power Campus
- Prior experience with Power Campus software systems troubleshooting and support
- Knowledge of Power Campus system software development and reporting tools
- Knowledge of Power Campus system database management system
- Solid query and report development skills including SQL and Infomaker.
- Demonstrated excellence in teamwork, as well as written and oral communications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
