Job Description: Manufacturing Receiving Inspector
Location: Breaa, CA
SUMMARY
Performs production inspection (in-process) for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, conformance, inspect holes, thickness, markings
Performs inspection on all components and materials received from outside procurement, fabrication and assembly activities.
Conducts production process line audits as directed by Quality Manager.
Supports management of calibration and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Supports compliance with 6S program throughout facility.
Drive safely forklift to move parts.
Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree or higher from an accredited college in the field of manufacturing technology or engineering preferred
- 1 year minimum in inspection in the manufacturing field
COMPUTER
Proficient in email, Microsoft Office Suite, Order processing systems, and database management tools.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as drawings, work orders, technical requirements, safety rules, purchase orders, invoices, bill of lading. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
MECHANICAL SKILLS
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, gages, torque wrenches, gauge blocks, profilometer, and basic hand tools. Use of hand tools. Drive forklift.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
