Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work on a 7 week contract from March 17th through May 3rd at a skilled nursing facility. You will have a set schedule of working 7a-7:30p every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be committed to providing high-quality nursing services to our patients. This role is essential in delivering care to individuals, particularly in geriatrics and senior care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Pay is $32 per hour and you will be paid every Friday via direct deposit.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record system
- Support patients with daily living activities, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Participate in sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, including acute pain management techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience in geriatrics or senior care is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and protocols.
- Strong skills in patient care, critical care, and emergency medicine.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
