DIS is currently seeking 3 Echo Sonographers who will be responsible for assisting Veterans with veteran care. This will be supporting the VA at three different locations, candidates can choose any location of preference; see details below.
The MT will focus on any of the following: (Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Hematology/Coagulation, and Microbiology) This person will possess a keen understanding of federal health agencies' policies, regulations, and structure. The ideal candidate will have a desire and ambition to provide the best-in-class service and support to all of our clients and DIS team members. Someone who possesses the ability to be diplomatic, accommodating, and adaptable to changing work environments and project scopes.

Job Responsibilities
- Performing Echocardiograms:
- Echo sonographers operate ultrasound equipment to obtain images of the heart, focusing on structures like chambers, walls, and valves.
- Image Analysis:
- They analyze the ultrasound images to identify normal and abnormal findings, looking for issues like blood flow problems or valve dysfunction.
- Patient Care:
- They prepare patients for the procedure, ensuring their comfort and safety, and explain the process to them.
- Documentation:
- They document patient information, including the procedure details and imaging results, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaboration:
- They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- They are responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of the ultrasound equipment.
- Continuing Education:
- They stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and cardiovascular medicine through continuing education and training.
- Adhering to Protocols:
- They follow sterile techniques and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and themselves.
- Schedule: 08:00 A.M. - 04:30 P.M M-F
- Current or Past Experience as an Echo Sonographer
- MUST be Certified in any of the following Certifications:
- ARDMS
- RDCS
- CCI
