Survey Analysis Lead
Location: USA, $95,000 - $120,000 | Full-Time | Remote or $48,000 - $60,000 | Part-Time | Remote

We are seeking a Survey Research Analyst with expertise in leading survey teams and coordinating survey administration and data collection and analysis, preferably at the national level. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in preparation of survey instruments, sampling, data processing documentation and file preparation, computer data collection storage and retrieval, data specification and coding procedures, and all other aspects of survey administration.

Essential Duties
- Oversee the analysis of surveys, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with project objectives.
- Manage all operational activities related to the collection of survey data, including design, administration, and documentation.
- Develop and prepare survey instruments for mail, online, and mixed-mode survey data collection processes.
- Oversee sampling methodologies, ensuring proper representation and accuracy in survey results.
- Manage all aspects of data processing, including documentation, file preparation, storage, and retrieval.
- Develop and implement coding and data specification procedures, ensuring compliance with data collection and processing standards.
- Supervise and provide guidance to project teams involved in survey development and administration.
- Ensure the successful execution of computer-based survey data collection and integration processes.
- Maintain comprehensive records and reports on survey methodologies and outcomes.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 5-7 years plus Bachelor's degree or Masters in Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in national survey development, design, and administration (minimum 3 years, academic survey research considered in total years of experience).
- Expertise in mail, online, and mixed-mode survey processes and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of data processing standards, survey instrument design, and file preparation protocols.
- Proficiency in managing data collection storage and retrieval systems.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale, federally funded survey projects.
- Expertise in complex sampling techniques and statistical modeling.
- Familiarity with human-centered design principles in survey instrument development.
- Certification in data analysis or survey methodology.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Knowledge of survey-related regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Experience supporting customer service/customer experience research
