What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Manager position at Dynamic National?
Role Responsibilities:
Service Management
- Manage a service team and ensure full adherence to Dynamic processes and service execution across the SW Division
- Providing reporting to Operations Manager on ownership and status of all service calls
- Implement and ensure adherence to a process for the receiving, tracking and executing all internal and external requests for service
- Ownership of pricing structure for service calls and ensure appropriate margins on service work
- Manage the emergency call process for leaks and allocating resource to execute based on defined prioritization structure
- Manage Maintenance Program enrollees and presentation materials for sales team
- Service fleet maintenance
- Interviewing and hiring additional service techs
- Interfacing with clients to assess service and maintenance needs
Steep Slope Project Management
- Take ownership of projects across the SW Division as needed and for jobs you are specifically assigned
- Provide full direction for the steep slope subcontractor crews and directly manage foreman and/or foremen on the job site
- Execute subcontractor agreements that align with the contracted project scope and pricing, and meet Dynamic’s and client’s expectations for project delivery
- Provide necessary scope, plans, site maps, and schedules for the projects to be prepared for client review and approval
- Join pre-construction calls or walks to help answer questions from clients
- Manage the subcontractor crews on the job site to ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal regulations
- Estimate and manage the expenses budgeted to the job and provide timely reporting of any material deviation from the budget for the job
- Work with material distributors and manufacturers to ensure best pricing for Dynamic
- Ensure communication regarding project status occurs timely to parties within Dynamic as well as from a customer perspective on a daily basis
- Complete timely closeouts of projects including final inspections, punch list items, material and equipment returns, manufacture and workmanship warranties, and calling in permits
General Production
- Partner with Operations Manager to develop training programs for field reports and succession planning for career development of the production department as a whole
- Provide necessary data to contribute to reporting needed for executive management
- Partner with Operations Manager on developing structured pricing for roofing and non-roofing subs and determining which subs are best suited for the specific service calls and projects
