As a Global Supplier Compliance Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in managing international vendor relationships for food imports, evaluating potential vendors and verifying safety standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing for external audits. What You'll Do :
- Develop and implement the Foreign Supplier Verification Program to ensure all global vendors are sourced from partners that meet the highest standards of safety, ethics, and regulatory.
- Evaluate and manage international vendors, conducting risk assessments, maintaining detailed records of certifications, and monitoring FDA compliance.
- Stay ahead of evolving international trade regulations and food safety standards, implementing processes to ensure full compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce quality control measures.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for internal stakeholders and create educational materials for vendors.
- Identify potential risks in the global supply chain and participate in developing contingency plans.
- Analyze vendor performance data and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist with coordinating on-site audits and ensure documentation is prepared and organized for potential FDA and FSMA inspections.
