Physical Therapy Aide

Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Aide plays a vital role in supporting the physical therapy team in providing exceptional care to patients. This position involves assisting with patient treatment, maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, and ensuring that all equipment is properly prepared for use. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient service and a strong understanding of medical terminology, particularly in an inpatient or acute care setting.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment before patient sessions.
• Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks as directed by the therapist.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sanitizing equipment after use.
• Provide excellent patient service by greeting patients warmly and addressing their needs during visits.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records when necessary.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring comfort and support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Basic understanding of physical therapy techniques and exercises is a plus but not required; training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
