What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Dynamic Utility Solutions?
The Project Manager will be responsible for supervising, directing and coordinating the Assistant Project Managers, Planners, and Project Coordinators to manage all phases of projects from bidding, planning, execution, monitoring & reporting, and closing. The PM has the responsibility to lead the project management team to ensure that all aspects of planning and execution of the project scopes are delivered safely and on schedule and on budget. The Project Manager will interface with customers and field personnel to manage multiple electric utility construction projects, including managing to scope, schedule and cost. The PM will also work with customers and employees to address concerns, issues, and inquiries. Key to this role is the ability to establish strong working relationships with customers and field personnel. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Understands the contract and any other documentation regarding requirements or expectations for the project. These may include but may not be limited to: Deliverables, KPIs, schedule, safety requirements, customer specific requirements, units of measurement, and contract terms & conditions.
· Maintains a resource-loaded schedule.
· Ensures that project scopes are adequately resourced to work safely and maintain schedule and budget.
· Ensure all data are accurately entered into the DUS system in a timely manner.
· Follows all DUS applicable defined processes and procedures.
· Communicates support requirements to department leads accurately and in a timely manner.
· Identifies and communicates schedule changes as soon as possible to impacted organizations -- labor or equipment needs.
· Works with the General Foreman and project team to evaluate and make resource adjustments as needed to stay on schedule and within budget.
· Works with General Foremen and project owner to request, document, secure approval and track scope changes to projects.
· Ensure quality of the data provided to the customer.
· Responsible for providing periodic project status reports and performance reports to customers and DUS senior leadership (e.g., accruals, revenue forecasts, project reviews).
· Works with department leads to develop bid strategy.
· Oversee bid and estimating process in developing and submitting bid packages.
· Identifies resource requirements (manpower & equipment) and schedule to department leads to obtain field resources to execute the work.
· Identify and eliminate / mitigate risks to projects.
· Storm responsibility includes preparing rosters, collecting and submitting timesheets, and serving as customer point-of-contact, travel with storm crews. Eligible for storm compensation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
