Generator Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in equipment repair, with a focus on natural gas, diesel engines and electrical systems. This role requires hands-on experience, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Duties

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on natural gas and diesel generators.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians or apprentices when necessary.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems related to machinery and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and management.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
