Objective Summary
The Assembler I will produce high-quality constructed metal or soft products per customer specifications. The material and product to be constructed will vary by department.
Key Position Activities
- Read and interpret job cards for information specifications.
- Operate and/or utilize equipment to produce products that meets the dimensions required for the accuracy of parts and product quality.
- Assemble, troubleshoot, and test product.
- Multitask to perform other duties assigned by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work in a safe and courteous manner.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to assemble custom products.
- Assemble components using a variety of materials, machinery, and hand tools as needed.
- Follow established procedures to ensure product quality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks during the assembly process to identify and address any defects or discrepancies.
- Report any issues or deviations from specifications per protocol.
- Collaborate with Team Lead, Supervisors, and other department management and team members to understand customer requirements and provide feedback on product assembly.
- Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
- Support production by performing work in any/all areas within the department to ensure the team meets/exceeds the departments metrics for SAFETY, QUALITY, DELIVERY, COST, and INVENTORY.
- Follow all work instructions and Lean practices.
- Follow all company policies, rules, and regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Essential
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to read a ruler and tape measure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Preferred
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
