In anticipation of award for the Space Development Agency’s (SDA) National Defense Space Architecture Tranche 2 Tracking Layer program, Dynetics is seeking to fill a key position of Deputy Program Manager. The T2 Tracking Layer effort will provide the capability to provide global, consistent indications, detection, warning, tracking, and identification of advanced missile threats, including hypersonic missile systems. The T2 Tracking Layer scope includes up to 27 space vehicles (SVs), ground systems as well as operations with a total period of performance up to 8 years. Each SV is equipped with an IR mission payload, three (3) Optical Communications Terminals (OCT), and Ka-band communications payload. Dynetics is a top provider of missile warning/missile tracking technology with awards on SDA Tranche 0 and Tranche 1 for critical IR mission payloads.
The Deputy Program Manager is accountable for management of development, integration, qualification, operations, and sustainment the satellites and ground systems with the Program Manager. The Deputy Program Manager will also advocate the capture and proposal activities for additional tracking layer tranches and related satellite programs.
Basic Qualifications
- Prior work history in complex aerospace programs program management roles is needed
- Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institute
- Candidate will have at least twelve (12) years of relevant work related to this position
- Development and adherence to integrated plans and schedules
- Development and adherence to budget baselines
- Measuring and reporting program performance
- Delivering presentations to customers, management and other stakeholders
- Managing suppliers to meet program objectives
- Managing contract scope and change through control board activities
- Conducting risk & opportunity management practices including
- Prior work with multiple engineering development models (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
Candidate will be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Other Qualifications
- Past history with spacecraft or payload development, launch or operations is ideal
- Knowledge of SDA, NRO, SSC/SMC and/or MDA space preferred
- Expertise with Defense Acquisition University (DAU) processes
- Digital Engineering and partnership environment history
