What You'll Do
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial aspects of the company's operations and drive the Dyno Nobel Americas financial strategy and planning. The CFO will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the organization and provide strategic direction on budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and forecasting needs. This role will collaborate closely with senior management and the President of DNA to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's overall goals.Other duties include:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute Dyno Nobel Americas financial strategy in line with overall business objectives.
Provide strategic recommendations to the President of DNA and senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
Financial Management:
Oversee all financial operations and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk management.
Monitor and direct the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights into financial performance and trends.
Prepare and present financial reports
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Identify and mitigate financial risks.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Recruit, train, and develop finance personnel.
What We're Looking For:
Education: BS degree in Accounting or Finance with additional certification or experience (CPA, CMA, MBA) required
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance / Accounting field with at least 5 years in a leadership role and experience in related industries (Mining, Explosives, Chemicals, Agriculture).
Progressively increasing responsibility for division P&L results, strategy development, risk evaluation and management, capital expenditure governance and management.
Capable of working in a highly matrixed organization with the ability to collaboratively develop and communicate complex business cases and financial models across multiple areas of the business.
Advanced technical and analytical skills to evaluate and understand financial results, identify key performance drivers, and understand complex inter-relationships across the North America business.
Ability to motivate a geographically dispersed team of manager level direct reports to accomplish company goals
Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent role, preferably in [industry/sector].
Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of building and leading effective teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make sound recommendations.
