What You’ll Do
As a Sr. Instrument and Control Specialist, you will be responsible for consistently monitoring and maintenance of the Control systems to ensure continued reliable operation. Other duties include :
- System hardware - firmware updates, lifestyle and legacy plans
- Follow appropriate steps to the Management Of Change program
- Organization and retention of documentation and records
- Maintaining configuration object libraries
- Implementing changes to align with process plant equipment modifications and upgrades and to accommodate process improvement initiatives
- Overrides and Bridges. Maintain Control Defeats Register and DCS Change Logs
- Draft control strategy documented by some means such as a SAMA diagram and or logic block diagrams.
- Development of control loop functional specification.

- Willingness to work overtime and be on call as required.
- Demonstrate and / or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5’s, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
- Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
- Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.
