About the RoleWe’re looking for a Software Test and Operations Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience developing avionics software. You’ll work with helping our test/operations staff create software tools to assist test, as well as various system tasks (requirements, test writing, etc) and testing. This internship is a great opportunity for students looking to expand their skills and understanding of software test, engineering requirements, test-driven development, and avionics technology.
What You’ll DoCreating software tools to assist the software test department.
Write tests, requirements, and other supporting systems documentation for engineering projects.
Assist in product testing.
Communicate any bugs, errors, problems, shortfalls, found during testing to developers, product owner and project manager.
Currently pursuing a degree or certificate program in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or Computer Science
Excellent written and communication skills.
Minimum one year experience in Python, C#, or any other programming language.
Working knowledge of:
Windows Desktop OS
Linux OS (preferred)
Ability to keep things organized.
Aviation knowledge or experience is a plus—especially if you hold a pilot certificate or are actively pursuing one
Interest in aviation systems, avionics architecture, and flight simulation.
Work on real aviation technology with hands-on experience in embedded software development.
Collaborate with experienced engineers who are passionate about avionics and technology.
Contribute to meaningful projects that impact pilots and the future of flight.
Build skills in software testing and avionics systems.
