POSITION OVERVIEW
DZL is a market leader in real estate development and property management, featuring a high-profile mixed-use portfolio of office, retail, entertainment, hospitality, and co-working properties. The neighborhood sits in Nashville’s downtown urban core, inside the SoBro and Gulch neighborhoods. The campus spans 16 contiguous acres, with numerous core infill sites ready for development, anchored by iconic adaptive reuse properties, cornerstones of the city.
We’re seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to assist with all aspects of the AP operations for multiple entities. This person must have solid accounting, communication, and organizational skills.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform all aspects of the AP Process such as
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Completing approval process
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling accounts
- Responding to all vendor enquiries
- Maintaining and ensure accuracy of all files
- File and pay monthly sales tax
- Maintaining companies’ internal payment process
- Assist team with administrative project tasks
- Maintaining reconciled job costing books
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2-years’ experience with AP
- Experience with Yardi and QuickBooks
- Experience in Commercial Real estate and Real Estate Development is a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Must be accustomed to a fast-paced environment
- Must work as a team player
