What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail & Hospitality Associate position at DZL Management Company LLC?
The Retail & Hospitality associate functions under the supervision of and in coordination with the Director of Food & Beverage. This position is required to provide outstanding guest service, assist guests in finding merchandise and purchase products, ensure the retail area is properly stocked with merchandise and perform transactions like sales and returns.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets guests as they enter the venue and/or retail area.
- Maintains guest satisfaction by providing guidance, answering questions, providing information about the venue and handling complaints or directing them to a manager.
- Ensures a high level of guest satisfaction through excellent service.
- Stays up to date on upcoming shows or events to answer guest questions.
- Is knowledgeable of and able to share knowledge about products offered.
- Assists in maintaining stock and setting up merchandise on the sales floor.
- Responsible for cleaning, stocking, restocking and organizing of retail sales floor.
- Operates POS system accurately and efficiently; ensuring all merchandise is rung in and properly accounted for.
- Practices proper cash handling procedures through payment collection in POS system, properly organizing money, counting change correctly and following appropriate checkout procedures.
- Complies with inventory control procedures.
- Ensures green rooms are properly set for artists, crews, etc. prior to show.
- Completes all opening, running and closing duties as assigned.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Policy Manual.
- Reports all damaged/stolen/incorrectly priced items to MOD.
The above-listed duties are not all inclusive. This position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, preferred
- At least one to three years of related experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
- Must pass a criminal background check

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift objects from a lower to higher position or move objects horizontally, from position to position.
- Must be able to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
- Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
- Will be required to use physical capabilities including climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
- Able to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Able to work in environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to work varied shifts, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
