Packaging Specialist/Order Picker

As a high-technology equipment manufacturer, our scientific instrumentation products are produced in small quantities and require detailed attention for shipping and receiving processes in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Duties include:

• Review backlog report
• Prepare inventory for shipment by ensuring packing slips are accurate and by properly packing items for shipment
• Review pull sheet; pull and kit parts based on shipping pick list generated by enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
• Receive inventory when needed by physically receiving component parts, unpacking materials, and preparing them for placement into inventory
• Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet intended design standards
• Assist with inventory counts
• Enter information into the ERP system
• Follow any packing/shipping instructions
• Clean parts
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• Experience with the specific shipping requirements of delicate instruments, both domestically and internationally
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Working knowledge of ERP inventory management systems a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Physical requirements

• Ability to handle boxes, crates, small component parts, and large products for the purposes of unpacking, moving to storage, and packing for delivery
• Ability to lift, transport, and move equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.

Working hours

• Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Hours may fluctuate on an as-needed basis. Occasional overtime; sometimes on weekends, sometimes on short notice.
