POSITION SUMMARY: E.B. Bradley/West Coast Laminating is searching for a Purchasing Coordinator to be located in Vernon, CA. This role is essential for managing various aspects of the purchasing process, maintaining vendor and part information, coordinating with departments, and ensuring smooth tracking and reporting of inventory and purchase orders. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, an analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Purchase Order (PO) Tracking & Maintenance: Monitor, track, and update purchase orders to maintain up-to-date records and ensure timely order fulfillment
- Vendor & Part SKUs Setup: Set up and manage vendor and part numbers in the system to ensure accurate records and streamline purchasing processes
- Part Number & Cost Maintenance: Regularly update part numbers and cost information to ensure accuracy in pricing and part availability across the system Create debit memos and send to vendor and accounting. Maintain a high-level understanding of products available
- PO/Invoice Maintenance: Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure proper execution and tracking of receipt issues, credit/debit memos and other vendor chargebacks
- Rebate Report Management: Generate and manage rebate reports to track and analyze rebate eligibility and application for cost savings
- Buyer Support: Act as a secondary backup for buyers to support basic purchasing functions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Data entry experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience with relevant software systems (e.g., ERP/MRP) preferred
- Effective communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred
