Job Description:

Role: Data Architect - SME

Location: Clarksburg, WV

Job Type: Fulltime

Job Overview:

Lead the implementation of the organization's Data Mesh architecture, driving the transition to decentralized, domain-oriented data management to enhance data quality, accessibility, and interoperability across CJIS systems.

Required Security Background:

· Active Secret Facility Clearance required at time of application

· Must be eligible to obtain and maintain FBI security clearance

· Must be wiling to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement and Warrantless Search Agreement

Required Experience:

· Minimum of eight (8) years of experience designing and implementing data architectures, including large-scale data environments such as

· data lakes, data warehouses, and data mesh frameworks

· Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage,

· processing, and analytics

· Demonstrated two (2) years of experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams

· Experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, Lambda)

· Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines to support domain requirements

· Experience implementing data governance frameworks including data privacy, access controls, and lineage requirements

· Experience in data mesh architecture implementation and ongoing support

Preferred Experience:

· Experience with FBI or DOJ systems and data environments

· Experience with criminal justice information systems

· Experience applying data mesh principles in government environments

· Experience with data security compliance requirements relevant to law enforcement

· Experience managing data catalogs and data lineage tools

Education:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related technical field

· Relevant certifications in data management, cloud platforms, or data governance

Key Skils:

· Advanced knowledge of data governance, cloud-based data infrastructure, and data mesh architecture

· AWS expertise, particularly with data services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, Lambda)

· Strong leadership and team management capabilities

· Ability to colaborate with domain experts and cross-functional teams

· Experience with SAFe Agile methodology and practices

· Proficiency with data catalog management and automation tools

· Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday
