Technical Training and Support Manager – Coatings & Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Training and Support Manager to lead training programs and provide technical support for protective coatings, corrosion control, and maintenance applications. This role requires hands-on expertise in application techniques, troubleshooting, and industry best practices to support a global network of managers, distributors, and end users. Based at our Long Island, NY headquarters, this position involves occasional domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on protective coatings, surface preparation, and application methods.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to distributors, customers, and internal teams.
- Offer on-site and remote field support to resolve application and product-related challenges.
- Stay informed on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in coatings and maintenance.
- Create and maintain technical guides, training materials, and instructional presentations.
- Collaborate with research and development, sales, and engineering teams to enhance product understanding and user experience.
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in facilities, equipment repair, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong expertise in protective coatings, corrosion prevention, and application techniques.
- Certification in NACE or AMPP is a plus.
- A technical degree in a related field is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training delivery and technical documentation.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately once per quarter).
