Technical Support Manager & Trainer
Location: Medford, NY (Onsite)

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Manager & Trainer to lead training programs and provide expert technical support in protective coatings, corrosion prevention, and maintenance applications. This role involves educating managers, sales teams, and end-users on product applications, industry best practices, and regulatory standards. Based at our headquarters in Medford, NY, this position requires occasional travel for training sessions and technical support.
Primary ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development
- Develop and implement training programs covering protective coatings, surface preparation, and application methods.
- Create instructional materials, technical guides, and training resources for internal teams and external partners.
- Conduct hands-on and virtual training sessions for managers, customers, and distributors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure training content remains current.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide expert guidance on application techniques and problem-solving.
- Assist managers, engineers, and customers with product selection, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Offer both on-site and remote support to address product performance and application challenges.
- Investigate potential product concerns and recommend solutions to improve durability and effectiveness.
Industry Engagement & Knowledge Sharing
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional events.
- Serve as a technical liaison, fostering relationships with distributors, clients, and industry professionals.
- Develop white papers, training manuals, and technical documentation for various stakeholders.
Qualifications & CompetenciesEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- 5–10 years of experience in equipment maintenance, facilities management, or coatings application.
- Background in industrial maintenance, corrosion control, and surface preparation.
- NACE or AMPP certification is a plus.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of protective coatings, industry standards, and application techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in training and public speaking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to develop training materials and technical documentation.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
