Job Responsibilities
- Product revenue reconciliations and associated accounting controls review.
- Responsible for monthly home office reporting under US GAAP & IFRS.
- 17a-5 and SOX Audit responsibilities related to invoicing, reconciliations and controls testing.
- Daily / Monthly p/l accounting vs desk p/l reporting by client.
- Prepare ad hoc requests from management team.
- Internal projects management liaison for Holding company and its subsidiaries.
Qualifications
- 10 years of broker-dealer experience in securities accounting and/or broker dealer operations within the brokerage industry
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger (i.e. SAGE & Inteliclear)
- Ability to handle information with high level of confidentiality
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
- Working knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
- Proven business partnering skills with the ability to communicate financial information in a concise and accessible manner to non-finance personnel and management
- Knowledge of SEC and FINRA regulations
- Brokerage experience, trading environment experience preferred but not required
- Series 7, 27 or CPA is preferred, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
