Working Time: 8:00 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST (Monday – Friday)
Candidate need to reach the facility by 7:45 am est and need to work 8 hours from Monday to Friday
09:00 AM EST to 04:00 PM EST (Saturday, Sunday) Based on the need the role requires to work on weekend.
Position Overview:
The Front Desk and Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the healthcare facility. This dual-role position involves providing excellent customer service to patients, managing front office duties, and assisting with medical procedures and patient care as needed. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Responsibilities:
1 Patient Interaction:
- Greet patients upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and confirm patient information.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns, either in person or over the phone.
2 Patient Check-in & Check-out:
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance details.
- Collect patient co-pays and process payments as required.
- Ensure accurate completion of patient intake forms.
3 Appointment Scheduling:
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, ensuring accurate and timely bookings.
- Coordinate with medical providers to ensure smooth appointment flow.
4 Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized filing systems for patient records and documents.
- Manage office supplies and reorder as necessary.
- Assist with administrative duties such as faxing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
5 Insurance Verification:
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with the submission of insurance claims.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is provided to insurance companies for reimbursement.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
1 Patient Care:
- Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate).
- Assist in the collection of patient histories and ensure the information is documented accurately.
2 Clinical Assistance:
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and support.
- Administer basic medical treatments (e.g., injections, wound care, specimen collection).
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms to ensure a clean, safe environment.
3 Documentation & Patient Records:
- Accurately record patient information, including medical history and clinical findings, in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Document patient care provided and update charts as directed by the physician.
4 Lab Work & Testing:
- Prepare and process lab specimens for testing (e.g., blood, urine, swabs).
- Assist with diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, X-rays, or imaging as required.
5 Patient Education:
- Provide basic health education and instructions to patients, including post-procedure care or medication instructions.
- Ensure patients understand pre-appointment and post-appointment instructions.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a front desk or medical office environment is need
- Experience as a Medical Assistant (1-2 years) preferred.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.*
- Excellent customer service skills and a compassionate demeanor.*
- Ability to multitask and handle a busy work environment.*
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.*
- Proficiency in computer software*
