Front Desk & Medical Assistant
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused professional to manage both administrative and clinical responsibilities in a healthcare setting. This role requires strong multitasking skills, excellent communication, and the ability to efficiently handle front desk operations while assisting medical staff with patient care.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Onsite)
- Must be available to work on-site daily.
Primary Responsibilities
Front Desk Administration
- Greet patients and assist with check-in and appointment scheduling.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communications.
- Verify and update patient demographics, insurance details, and medical records.
- Process co-payments and handle billing and insurance documentation.
- Maintain organized administrative records, including scanning, faxing, and supply inventory.
Clinical Support
- Prepare patients for examinations and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, treatments, and patient care.
- Support diagnostic tests, including EKGs and X-rays.
- Collect and prepare blood, urine, and swab samples for laboratory testing.
- Educate patients on prescribed treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent (preferred).
Experience & Technical Skills
- Experience in a primary care, urgent care, or specialty medical practice.
- Familiarity with healthcare management software and electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Athena EMR.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance verification.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced medical office.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
