.Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Responsibilities
Patient Interaction:
- Warmly greet patients and assist with check-in.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and confirm patient details.
- Address patient inquiries and provide general office support.
Patient Check-in & Check-out:
- Verify and update patient and insurance information.
- Process co-pays and handle patient payments.
- Ensure intake forms are completed accurately.
Appointment Scheduling:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Coordinate with medical providers to maintain an efficient workflow.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain and organize patient records and office files.
- Manage office supplies and place orders as needed.
- Perform clerical tasks such as faxing, scanning, and photocopying.
Insurance Verification:
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with claims.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed for billing and reimbursement.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate).
- Collect and document accurate patient medical histories.
Clinical Assistance:
- Assist physicians during exams and minor procedures.
- Administer basic treatments, including injections, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Ensure exam rooms and medical equipment are properly stocked and sanitized.
Documentation & Patient Records:
- Accurately update electronic medical records (EMR) with patient information.
- Document patient care and provider instructions.
Lab Work & Testing:
- Collect and prepare lab specimens (blood, urine, swabs) for processing.
- Assist with EKGs, X-rays, and other diagnostic tests as needed.
Patient Education:
- Provide post-procedure care instructions and medication guidance.
- Ensure patients understand pre- and post-appointment instructions.
QualificationsEducation & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a front desk or medical office role required.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
- Proficiency in computer software and EMR systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
